i wish all <software whose setup flows don't let me specify a password, forcing me to copy paste a randomly generated password into a login prompt and then go to the account settings page and set my password to the one i actually want instead of just letting me specify it during setup> a very <fuck you>

this includes mastodon but this is the least of my angers about that particular software's user experience
