I don't understand why Americans keep avoiding jury duty.. It's what makes your world free ffs! We don't have that here in that form. You guys have something precious and you don't even care... One would be tempted to say you guys are ... priveliged (being Americans) to such a degree you don't even realize what's in front of you and that it is rare and can be very temporary. No wonder so many now literally squeek about makin socialism a thing there - because you never fucking expirenced it and can just fanatasize the uttmost idiotic ideals in your heads without actually expirencing the conseqences of it. What worries me is that these games you guys like to LARP with will one day reach the numbers of ignorants high enough that you can actually get what those ignorants desire... And by then.. it's too late. It usually takes about next 50 years to get rid of it - which in practie means a lifetime. I know because my parents lived half of their lives in it and I was forced to dabble in it in my Jugoslavian childhood. It of course ended in civil war. As usual. But before that a lifetime of a whole generation was stolen from them - because it was fun LARPing about stupid ideals and revolutions in people's heads.
I can't speak for you guys, but if I were you, I'd make damn sure that it never comes to that and I'd actually teach my children about the realities and experences in commy times. Not the bullshit story that keeps appearing on TV from various stunningly ignorant activists these days.
In short: Enjoy your freedoms and be aware it is temporary if you don't make damn sure that it stays that way. Jury duty is not just a right - it guarantees you a stunning amount of freedom compared to the rest of the world.
