Nostr is an interesting place. It still feels very early. The protocol is flexible, extensible, and not yet boxed in.
I’ve been thinking a lot about Digital Vending Machines over the last week, and I honestly can’t tell if I’m very late or very early to the party.
The idea of peer-to-peer, payment-gated work feels underexplored. Right now the landscape seems heavily skewed toward AI and MCP use cases. Those might be useful, to the right audience, but they are not the whole story.
The idea is much bigger than that.
- Compute
- Storage
- Proof of work
- Goods
While exploring the Kinds there are around on popular relays I didn't find a whole lot of 5xxx-6xxxx chatter.
With the rise of AI and agentic identities just how pure to the original intent Nostr will stay.
