There are nearly 20x more deaths from cold exposure. Apparently 7.3% of ALL deaths are cold related.

How a heat-related death is measured compared to a gun related death is a lot more varied. Gun is direct. Heat is an accelerator, rarely is it the main cause.

People who drown in a lake on a hot day are also counted as heat-related deaths … 🤷🏻‍♂️

But less kids die from heat in Europe than from guns in the USA. Heat is primarily dangerous for elderly people.
