I think it’s difficult to say if AI is a net positive for society (I guess time will tell). Some industries are obviously heavily impacted by AI and certain jobs are becoming a thing of the past.

I suppose a large portion of the middleclass could be in serious economic trouble if the job market collapses depending on how many jobs get overtaken by AI.

The impact on junior developers (like myself) is not exactly great considering how the barrier to entry is much higher now. The type of work you would let a junior developer do, can now be done much faster by an LLM instead. But the things I can build as one person by using AI without having years ...
