I still have Twitter via the Damus account for mostly PR and tech support, but its so hard to open these days. It feels a lot like watching CNN or something. First thing that was shown to me when I opened it up the other day was a video of two random people fighting ?? Twitter is the new TV.

Everytime I open nostr it feels like hanging out with a bunch of friends. Very different vibe. Hope that never changes.

I never had a Twitter account. I could never imagine it being fun or that I needed an account. Twitter always seemed a bit aggressive to me. Sorry. Nostr is really fun. I like being here.

I’m really new here. Follow just a few people and am kinda struggling to find more to do so. Sometimes I have the feeling of a closed circle instead of a expanding community. Didn’t left Twitter yet because even though it recommends some random uninteresting stuff sometimes it gets it right.

There’s a reason for the Dunbar number and Nostr let’s me curate it just like I do in the real world. I don’t look for friends in dangerous places but Twtr promotes the idea that algos can think better than you to find what you like but instead hijacks thinking to find things your amygdalae ...

Definitely. Haven't used Twitter since March started and I'm pretty happy with it. Only entered a few times to find the npub of a few people I wanted to follow and it felt pretty harsh in there

It will change as we scale, but algorithms will help us tailor our experience to maintain the vibes. I imagine an extension store, like browsers have, but for algorithms you can add-on to a Nostr client. #[2] has mentioned a vision like this.
