I understand that being a script kiddie is very frowned upon in the hacking space, and I agree with that much, but I don't think I'll ever truly agree with the notion that using "ease-of-use" tools like Metasploit automatically makes one a script kiddie.

Sure, it's ideal to have an actual understanding of what an exploit is doing. Sure, it's great if you can manually exploit a vulnerability. However, if you're using Metasploit to save time or because you're still learning, that doesn't make you a script kiddie, in my book. It makes you prudent.

Just like with people who vibe code and use AI for things: I won't look down on a person for using AI to save time or to help them learn. I do that too. As long as you're not using AI to be lazy and prevent the need to actually learn what you're working on, there's nothing wrong with that, in my opinion.
