Thanks for the link. I read it and there’s no compelling technical argument there. BIP-110’s changes to consensus rules to mitigate spam makes (valid) arguments about filters being bypassed irrelevant. It also makes the laughable approach of offering unlimited OP_RETURN space in the hope that spammers will pay 4x the price to put spam there so it can be pruned (they don’t want it pruned, and don’t want to pay more) irrelevant because the proposed consensus changes make it more difficult (but not impossible) to embed spam in UTXOs.
Also, you do realize the author of that article is an Ordinals maxi - don’t you?
