Using Amethyst as my main client and noticed that Tor is enabled by default. Since I’m already running the MULLVAD VPN, I’m wondering if running both (VPN + Tor) is sub-optimal or introduces unnecessary latency.

Question to the Amethyst users:
Which network settings are optimal in this case? Should Tor be disabled when already behind a VPN, or are there benefits to keeping it on?

Appreciate any technical input. ⚡️

The latency is not much of an issue if you are on a fast connection. But if you feel that it is an issue, you can disable tor.

if you are already _always_ using a VPN it should be safe to disable tor

You shouldn't run tor over tor. Just use mullvad. Note: I've seen zapping issue over tor. I don't think all wallet providers support Tor.
