Hypersonic missiles are 100% detectable under launch. So its very clear indications who have them and not. The most complicated aspect of hypersonic glide vehicles is to accuratly maneuvering them in flight, like Russia and China have demonstrated with operational systems.

Two other well known hurdles with hypersonic glider: - At that speed, the heat generated melts all but few unknown (to US) specialized heat resistance alloys - At that speed, communicating wirelessly to steer and course correct is beyond (US) current knowledge 🛜🫠
