I was up near the front of the hike this morning when this enormous rattler took exception to our use of the trail. Western diamondback, I think, and definitely the biggest #rattlesnake I've ever seen...

@nprofile1q... So the followup… I've found if I back off out of sight and give it a minute, the snake will leave. Or did you divert around it? Or turn back and call it a "DNF"?

And nobody was wearing snake gaiters because why would you ever need them, right? Right?
