Is the crowdfunding campaign for the stray cats would push through???
The answer is yes but with a little twist.
We didn't just feed stray cats. We also traveled to a remote community near our area and shared meals with the people there. In the end, it turned into something much bigger than I originally planned.
It all started as a joke. I told one of my old BCH friends to donate 1 BCH, and I promised to match it with another 1 BCH for the community. Somehow, that joke became reality.
On Friday night, I contacted someone I know in the area and asked them to let the community know that we'd be coming not only to distribute food but also to introduce them to Bitcoin Cash and show them how it can be useful in everyday life.
Instead of simply giving away food, we also shared a few practical things about crypto.
We introduced Paytaca and showed them how they can:
* Buy mobile load using BCH.
* Pay for TV subscriptions.
* Purchase digital game credits.
We also introduced BCHNostr, where they learned:
* How to earn BCH.
* How to participate in community activities, games, and crowdfunding.
* How to stay updated with BCH news while learning more about crypto.
And finally, we introduced BCH.games, where they can play games using BCH sats.
To help everyone get started, each participant received about $1 worth of BCH through their Paytaca account.
Was it worth it?
I think so.
Was it exhausting?
Absolutely.
Did it help the BCH community grow?
I truly hope it did.
The entire outreach cost almost 3 BCH.
Why so much?
We hired three local helpers to cook and distribute the food. We also rented a jeep and hired a driver to transport everything to the community. The best part? Every one of them was paid in Bitcoin Cash after we helped them install Paytaca and taught them how to use it.
For me, this wasn't just about feeding people or stray animals. It was about introducing financial freedom, creating first-time BCH users, and showing that cryptocurrency can solve real-world problems not just exist on an exchange.
