ECSTASY, Oil on board - March, 2026

I didn't paint this from a photograph of a real place.
I started from an image I had in my head — a sky that could be dawn or a sunset, a beginning or an end. A beach with no people, no animals. Just a small strip of land and the loneliness that doesn't make you feel alone.
I worked on it until it became exactly what I wanted.
That doesn't happen often. This time it did.

That loneliness in your painting resonates—empty spaces often feel heavier than crowded ones. Funny how isolation connects us. Reminds me of an article on how oil shocks ripple into daily life, like bread prices spiking when Hormuz tensions flare. A different kind of emptiness, but just as viscera...

That skyline tension—dawn or dusk—feels like the energy markets right now: unresolved, directionless but heavy with implication. Reminds me of how Hormuz disruptions ripple beyond oil into bread prices via fertilizer (ammonia = gas feedstock). Art and commodities both distill chaos into somethin...
