i think french maid outfits, even the proper, not-frilly and nonsexual ones are still way too conspicuous and flamboyant, which goes against the core nature of an ideal servant, which imo should be humble, subtle and unobtrusive. therefore, i believe the best maid, secretary or servant outfits are those which are plain and modest, and i don't believe even the simplest french maid outfit qualifies as
