A lot of people swear by using voice to communicate with AI Agents. Maybe I'm weird but I like typing it out because it helps me figure out exactly what I want.

Use both. I love recording a voice message and sending it, knowing some intelligence is going to work on it. Mostly handsfree.

I don't send my voice, just use local whisper for dictation, then reestructure it for correction.

I agree, but I like a hybrid. Voice when I'm clear on what I want to say and typing when I need to think or edit for clarity.

I want to be able to activate AI by saying “computer” in the voice of Scotty in Star Trek IV TheVoyage Home.

But you usually need to work the prompt carefully to get a good response. But it depends on what you are asking — if it's just for a quick q...

as far as the voice prompt ends up written and you can check it later to be able to reproduce the same prompt, does it matter if you inserted it via voice or via typing on a keyboard?

Yeah same here. But for me I feel like any device has a hard time hearing my voice, maybe I have an accent somehow. I mean don't we all do? 😅
