Podcast apps may or may not support new tags and technologies musicians and listeners want, and that's because they are podcast apps getting podcasts from the podcast index.
The HeyCitizen Experience is a product of its time. The artist name is in the album title, because how else would you find it? It's a podcast.
I'm working on building a music index to begin addressing these issues. Artists are much more than podcasts or publishers. They may have Bandcamp, Musicbrainz and nostr identities. The only way to get that sorted out is to make it easy for the artists to submit that data properly.
