I buy kiln dried firewood and I store all of the leftover bark chips in big trash cans to use as kindling. Unbeknownst to me, one of the cans had the lid off for a couple of months and became full of water.

Today I dumped the water out and it smelled just like barbecue sauce plus a hint of smoky barbecue.
