as i put together the new testflight for damus today, i've started working on a new damus purple feature: reliable video uploads of any size.

large video is notoriously unreliable on damus atm. this will fix that. it will enable uploading of fast loading, high quality video streams for your nostr content.

Will you be transcoding on the device or somewhere external? Or segmenting as-is? You could segment the video based on IDR frames, alone. This avoids a transcode. I think ffmpeg will do this.
