Some combination of storing open source/royalty-free gifs on relays? Would the clients run the image recognition API to check for copyright? It’d be incredible if a lot of the images originated from our nostr community. I’ve see really creative content on here all day.

GIPHY or similar integration would be easiest probably. Could just pull the link directly into to note since it’s not an imbed file. Not sure if GIPHY has an API or could handoff the link like that though.
