Go see a physical therapy person. They will give you some exercises. I get muscle pain on my left side from sleeping. I need to get after it again, did great for about 6 months, then I slacked off on the exercises.

If it is constant , you may have torn a infraspinatus/supraspinatus tendon/ligament. Which means you need to rest the shoulder/arm completely. Get an ultrasound of the area. It is important to know exactly what is going on to prevent further damage and/or trauma to the area.

My experience has been that itโ€™s caused by tight chest muscles. Rolling with a handball against a door is an almost nightly ritual for me. Do both chest and back but donโ€™t overdo it. Just make it part of your routine.

Depends where it is. If itโ€™s glenohumeral or acromioclavicular, you can do a dead hang from a pull up bar and that should โ€œcreateโ€ space to give you more rotation among the capsule. If itโ€™s more neck related, a bit more intricate to resolve. Tough to say without seeing exactly where you...
