Hardware sells pretty well and has a longer shelf life than most plugins so it’s understandable its incentivised via influencers etc.

Personally I use a bit of both , the DAW is great but somethings I prefer in the analogue world.

I was speaking to a musician/developer recently and they we’re a little surprised tablets haven’t taken off more for control. I’ve yet to really use iPads except for mixing live bands which I honestly dislike when compared to working with a desk and faders. But I see how they can be used for sound manipulation and it’s pretty cool.

Whatever works and excites you is the answer I think. Look forward to reading more!

Totally understand that and a lot of it depends on how we all get into music in the first place and then how we work with it from there. Mixing - I did have a Bluebox for my small desktop studio as I call it which is hybrid but I sold it. I want to go back to one with faders!!!

I had the intro version of Ableton for a while and upgraded to Standard. It’s got so much stuff in there that’s I’ve never used. I think it’s important to maximise this first before reaching for a new plugin be as and influencer said so. Just my 2 sats. As for hardware, mine just collects du...
