Used a water witch for the first time today. I was able to detect a propane line about 8 inches beneath my feet underground with nothing but these two thin metal wires that responded by crossing over themselves. Asked ChatGPT about it and learned it’s mechanism isn’t understood or explained by our current scientific models.

Divining Rods? You could basically use metal coat hangers. 😂 True magic. Oddly enough we have found water lines that way in the pool remodeling business.
