This is the aberration we have reached in sneakers.

Think about it in terms of biomechanics: you're doing this to gain cushioning, you're cheating, it's like running on springs, but look at the mechanical aspect, what stability does this offer you? It's a sure-fire way to get injured; the healthiest thing is to run barefoot.

Between running barefoot and this aberration, there is a middle ground that is becoming increasingly non-existent.

These are marathon shoes. Strictly for running in a straight line. Most of these the foam and rubber are so soft you only get 1-2 races out of them.

I’m still using walking shoes 😅 I think this is interesting, and maybe wrong. Many super shoes makes you 4% faster… There is also the case that cushioning is less injury risk because of less pounding. I don’t know 🤷‍♂️. It’s a tough one…
