The attack on Iran, or rather the reaction of the remaining Iranian leaders, is something that is beyond my comprehension.
I don't understand their motivation. Any rational reasoning fails.
Why are they doing this?
They are high-ranking officials, but not the highest, and they were used to obeying the regime uncritically.
They are definitely not doing it to help the Iranians; even they cannot lie to themselves about that after tens of thousands of murders. Why don't they make a deal with Trump? It's not even about power; on the contrary, the support of American aircraft carriers would guarantee them that.
Is it just a parasite of the idea of the state that has taken control of them and is trying to survive by any means necessary?

I always end up with the same thought. The state is a parasitic life form.

Being at the top of the pyramid they enjoyed a form of freedom they can never have if they bow to the imperator Trump. Also who could really trust Trump with anything? The best outcome for them is to resist and keep the old scam going. Trump can change his mind in a minute. Plebs will burn your home...
