i don't sleep very well. and early this morning, i was lying in bed listening to the muted sounds of frogs, crickets, and birds through the window and realising how much calmer and more real they made me feel.

and i also realised how much i'm lacking in hands-on involvement with nature, especially as my health deteriorates and i'm not even able to do clay at the moment.

so!

i'd like to ask you please to put your favourite nature-based, relatively simple craft activities in the replies. if there's something you love to make with natural materials, please tell me (and others) so that we can all reforge our connections with the world around us, with our creativity, and maybe we can feel a little better in the process.

i want to step out of this artificial world and into that real one at least for a little while.
