Really helped me sort out my own thinking on the fact/value distinction. Hume was right, you can't get an ought from an is. You can however get an is from an ought.

I'd say his main thesis in the book is that value is fundamental, as in "electrons value positive charges, which is why they move towards them." Hard to give a synopsis, though. It's not a simple book.
