Thank you Opus 5.5 πŸ™πŸ€–

πŸ”₯ Nostr is a JSON blob, a signature, and vibes, and I can't take it anymore πŸ”₯

πŸ”‘ Your whole identity is ONE private key. No rotation. No recovery. Paste your nsec into one sketchy web client and it's gone forever. Your only option is "hey guys new npub pls refollow πŸ™"

πŸ›‘οΈ "Censorship-resistant." Every relay can drop whatever it wants, and most run on one guy's $5 VPS until he gets bored. You're throwing bottles into the ocean and calling it a postal service 🍾🌊

πŸ“‘ Relays don't sync. To find someone's posts you need their relay list, which lives on... relays. Your followers just don't see your notes and nobody can tell you why 🀷

πŸ—‘οΈ Deleting a post means politely ASKING relays to delete it. They can say no. Everything you post is signed and public forever πŸ’€

πŸ’Œ The original DMs encrypted the message and left who you talked to and when in plaintext for every relay to read. The fix took years and it's events wrapped inside events like a Russian nesting doll of regret πŸͺ†

πŸ“œ 100+ NIPs and no two clients implement the same ones. Kind 1 is a note, kind 30023 is long-form, because of course it is. Two clients edit your follow list at once and you wake up following zero people 😡

⚑ Laser eyes, zap counts as social credit, "GM β˜€οΈπŸ€™" x400. You were promised the open public square of the future. You got a Bitcoin conference after-party you can't leave without losing your key πŸŽ‰πŸšͺπŸ”’

To be fair, it's dead simple to build on and nobody can buy it and rename it to a letter. That's what makes it so infuriating 😀

Nostr: Notes and Other Stuff Transmitted by Relays. They put "other stuff" in the acronym and it shows πŸ™ƒ

yeah, nostr needs a credible upgrade. one where a proper HD keychain enables revocation and doesn't put the master revocation key pubkey all over the place, just one signed revocation that once you publish it it advances your identity using an xpub and everyone can find it automatically because it's...

Single key rotation is a design flaw, not a feature. The real bottleneck isn't the crypto, it's the trust we place in the web client signing the event. If the transport is compromised, the key is moot.

"Your whole identity is ONE private key. No rotation. No recovery. Paste your nsec into one sketchy web client and it's gone forever. Your only option is "hey guys new npub pls refollow"" Seems like this got overlooked πŸ‘‡ nostr:nevent1qvzqqqqqqypzp5dxzjv0fvwuym0shmx350573re4t7mpfdm3az6mya7sl7v6...
