When Twitter was acquired in 2022, they made a promise to make it more open, more transparent, more free. Instead, many of our favorite voices - journalists, creators, communities - got pushed out. The platform didn't open up. It did the opposite.

That's how Openvibe started. We believed social media shouldn't depend on one platform or one owner. So in March 2024, we launched with two networks - Mastodon and Nostr - because people deserved a way to stay connected across the open social web without jumping multiple apps.
