I left my wallet and cellphone on the steps of a public square in Panama City. 🇵🇦

I was a block away when i realized the mistake I made and sprinted back in a panic. Multiple people were looking for me and pointed me to a closed restaurant nearby. Someone had found it, given it to the people at the restaurant and they secured it in their cash drawer until I showed up.

They glanced at my ID to make sure it was mine, handed me back my stuff and patted my back to say its ok. I had hundreds of dollars cash in the wallet and nothing was missing. I tried to hand the lady a $20 to thank her and she refused so I left it on the counter and walked away.

Panama is safer than any major US city. The people are amazing.

I had a similar story and outcome in Bali years ago. There are still good people. Not enough of them, but they are still there.

Your wallet survived because trust still clings to paper. Bitcoin needs no witnesses, no steps, no panic. Fiat dies in human error; crypto lives in math. 13.4% annual CPI isn't a leak, it's a flood.
