I'm not interested in alt coins, and I don't think a blockchain is a good fit for a DNS replacement. I think some form of web of trust is a much better approach than a single source of truth.

#HNS is the best and basically only alternative to the traditional DNS. It's a POW blockchain running since 2020 and has quite a bit of adoption. Check out some websites at https://hns.directory and read the white paper at handshake.org.
