Bitcoin underwent institutional capture because the devs some were publicly known, and because the regulators found mechanism to capture Bitcoin due to its transparency.

The attack vectors for Bitcoin, and Monero are different.

Bitcoin is crushed by compliance, Monero is being fought against with by making unclear regulations, which makes compliant people afraid to use it.

Monero will grow to Bitcoin’s size, and trust me they will do everything in their power to stop us.

My point is that Monero is playing junior softball, bitcoin is major league. If monero was playing major league right now then the State would just mine empty blocks and make it unusable, or do a massive reorg so that poeple can't trust transactions that are less than a year old or whatever (there...
