Personally, I think the only solution is for every country to have a nuclear deterrent in case of violence and then to pivot hard into economic power. Transitioning into this will be problematic and you have to be concerned about the "mad king" problem, where a regime doesn't care about it's own survival. However, overtime I think the world will generally move towards this configuration slowly. Hopefully without issue.
