My meta is to ensure a comfortable, and guaranteed retirement.
I’m not going to be eating rice, and beans for 70 years just so I don’t have to work.
I’ll do the 5 to 20 more years, stack up hard, and let my assets work for me.
And get to enjoy my ~40s/50s with steak, a nice house, car, beautiful wife, etc.
I was fortunate enough to start early when I was 19, so realistically 49 is probably when I could retire in theory, at least according to the hockey stick, and rule of 72.
Just depends on a lot of variables.
I’m trying to shoot for 35 to 40 ideally but I’m willing to tug it out to 50 to 70 depending on what my needs are.
