Mini business continuity plan (power outage) test in progress!

Power went out.

UPSs kicked in.

After 10 minutes, I switched everything relevant across to the generator.

Things are still running, uninterrupted.

Notifications of outages for things like the printer.

I'll run it like this for an hour or so, and that should be done.

Of course, this is a simulation, in the sense that I knew that the outage was coming, and was on hand to switch to the generator. Had I not been, then the UPSs would have run out after about 20 minutes, by my calculations. But enough to cover a short disruption of power all the same. And, once I ...
