tucker carlson had an insight in college that when men get older they often don’t have a group of committed friendships. so he and 4 other college friends made a pact that they would regularly and intentionally stay connected until they died. which so far, for the last 40 years, they have done. this really hits something in me and has me thinking…

Me and 4 other guys - all 46-52 - get together for drinks and dinner monthly. Some do Pickle ball or golf, too, but dinner is the ‘everybody’ activity. And hearing from a friend I ‘lost’ during my divorce after 10 years this morning was like winning the lottery!

I can confirm. 38 and have lost connection with my closest friends. maybe this post was my sign to reach out to them as I am on my way to our hometown now, where most of these guys live, or atleast I think they do.
