Based on about 20 minutes of research, if we go back to the zap button opening WoS or another wallet to send the zap, instead of one taps, Damus should be in compliance since the payment is not technically in-app. Spotify did this with its audiobook feature. They refused to pay the 30% for every book purchased, so instead, they had links to the web where you can buy, effectively skirting the fee. I think the zap button being a “link” to WoS or other wallet would work the same type of way.
