I just removed Apple News from my phone yesterday. 100% happier today.

People are astonished when I tell them I’ve stopped watching cable network news and mostly avoid mainstream journalism at this point. I used to be a hardcore junkie for that stuff, and it only left me stressed out and full of opinions approved by corporations.

We’re all continuously traumatized from a young age by institutions. The news, the public schools, the dentists, the government. It has an effect, wears people down.

No one should subject themselves to that psychic drain. This is a game where the only way to win is not to play.

It’s a gift to be aware. Some ppl never get to this point unfortunately
