take a sharp knife and peel off the skin, getting as close to the fruits as possible, but never touching them. To do this, use a technique of cutting and then lifting up the piece of skin, as this will break it nicely at the seam.

Then, when you are done, focus on the top and the bottom. Make sure these parts are really well cleaned. especially the bottom must be perfectly cleaned. After you have done this, piece the center of the bottom and gently rotate the knife. This splits the pomegranate apart. Do this while holding it above a plate. From there it is easy to split up the pieces, and, as you do, the fruit just falls out. Use your fingers to gently brush the fruits away.
