Thermal paste is thermal paste, can only get so cool. Heatsink and a good fan are more important imo cause I've run machines without paste or on minimal paste just had a super fast dual fan cooler unit and mainted relatively hot temps, but with paste you're getting better contact.

Rather spend more on that then the paste, you'll get better cooling performance.
