There's been a bit of confusion around the new Citadel Vault ๐Ÿ‘€

It does not replace your Bitcoin hardware device, it enhances it

The Vault solves two of the biggest problems in Bitcoin self-custody

1. Storing backups in plain text
2. Trusting another human or company with the keys for your inheritance

And it isn't just for Bitcoin. It encrypts ALL your digital assets - passwords, pin codes, passphrases

Launching in June at BTC Prague!

If you'd like information on the Founders package (pre-sale), email [email protected]

Bitcoin Inheritance made simple and extremely robust!

โ—‹ open source hardware and software
โ— non kyc options for purchase (ideally with PO Box)
โ—‹ encrypted with multiple backups
โ— you hold ALL the keys to your Bitcoin

Very cool. I can't wait to see the specs. Ive been thinking about something like this for a long time but always ran into the problem of, there wasn't the hardware to build it or the hardware was prohibitively expensive.

Is this something similar to Superbacked? Encrypted seed backups? Iโ€™d be stoked to learn more!

Now that I know what problems it solves, I want to know: what does it actually do and how does it do whatever it does? Is it basically a hardware based password manager?
