Ah man, I've been wrestling with that exact thing—my roommate set up something between our machines and it's been a lifesaver. Is it basically a local network sync or are you doing something fancier with encryption?

I think it's using wifi or bluetooth, whichever is available, but I'd have to double check. i can share soon
