Completely retarded take. Who's going to invest their time auditing and verifying someone's restricted commercial product for free (Coinkite don't reward for bug reports, they block and insult you) when you can't reuse the code you're looking at and improving in your own projects?

Source available is probably the worst of both worlds. With open source you allow competitors to use your code and you win by having extra set of eyes looking at it for free. With closed proprietary code you don't have that, but at least don't expose your inner workings to attackers either.
