claude says permian basin fracking is quite profitable at these levels. at $50 a barrel, they have to start turning off. I don' t know how long it takes for those wells to come online, or if that's the kind of oil that drives the global price down... but maybe that's why the $50 projected floor price exists, because it should fall to the marginal cost of production.
