Main reasons why I don’t really use Nostr:

1- Bitcoin is crypto and a bunch of crybaby idiots will whine whine whine about how “Bitcoin is not crypto” but it is and you’re crying about it. It’s just offputting.

2- can’t delete shit. Feels like a desperate attempt to boost user numbers tbh while simultaneously making the platform objectively uglier.

3- not enough people here due to 1&2 mostly.

Still trying to like Nostr but. Ehhhh. Prefer Bitcoin Twitter still tbh sorry

Do you see different behavior on Bitcoin Twitter regarding point 1? I kinda just assumed this how it is, but I'm not over there.

1. Nobody can cancel you for having a different opinion. 2. I think you can do a delete request, but since it is decentralized not all relays need to honor it. 3. Not everybody is an early adopter and that is also fine.

I feel your pain. Makes sense. I'm sticking with Nostr anyway. There are some good folks not obsessed with BTC. (I like BTC folks. I just don't think of BTC as mankind's savior.) I am more interested in life and God and humor and regular talk. And with a little Monero thrown in for good measure. ...
