I had an old mentor who has since passed away from ALS. He always used to say, “life is long. In fact, it’s the longest thing you will ever do.”

I think it was his way of balancing out the fear that everything is slipping away, not being afraid of making mistakes as there is time to recover, et,. Also to make sure you do something you love with people you love.

He also knew life was short, and time does fly by, but the balanced viewpoint has served me well.
