My secret ingredient in cjili is a teaspoon of cocoa powder. It gives a smooth almost smokey touch to it. 😉

molasses & dry sherry. I once brought my chilli with dry sherry to a Southern Baptist potluck. I didn't tell them what I put in it, but got lots of compliments.
