Nostr’s cool, but so are a whole class of new local first / decentralized apps. I just came across Dxos… Seems like it might be interesting to folks here: https://dxos.org/

Woah. There's a lot of backend dev jargon. Can you understand it and ELI5 the few main points and differences? Dxos uses IPFS and seems... organized and nicely marketed and packaged. This advantage alone could gain it traction that nostr suffers.

Is it as censorship resistant and free as nostr?

It’s on GitHub so appears to be open source but I don’t know if they are holding anything back.
