Nic. It is essential. I don't offer much direct advice to people but I will here. We used Taking Cara Babies (I think that's the Company) for guides and it was worth it. Sleep training kids is essential for parent and child sanity.

Every kid is different, don’t tie yourself to any specific program, use the things that work for you. That said… get the kids on a routine, lots of bonding time before bed, make sure all their physical needs are met, then it’s ok for them to cry while they learn to sleep. Take note of when ...
