I've gone from my first prototype to a custom PCB connector board. This is a NiceTOTP device.



It's a standalone TOTP device. After the initial setup, no phone nor computer is required.

It doesn't do passwords, just TOTP. A code is entered with the two buttons to unlock it, then you can flip through your accounts.

If you wanted to build just one unit, it'd be about $60 USD in parts ($50 w/o a battery).

Neat build. Under the hood, TOTP as defined in RFC 6238 divides the current Unix timestamp by a time step, 30 seconds by default, to produce the counter that generates each code.
