I’ve had an interesting time at farmer’s markets. Some seem strongly opposed ideologically, while others are open and want to learn more.

I think the local farming/homesteading community is the most oblivious to the effects of bad money. Which is weird, because they often see so clearly the negative symptoms of a fiat economy, i.e. poor food quality, land degradation, etc.. They also don’t seem to realize the n Show more

I think it's time we take a careful look at the Ponzi scheme analogy. Because if we're being honest, Bitcoin adoption has many of the same features. Yeah I have an ‘I accept bitcoin’ sticker. Zoomers are mind blown and take pictures of it. Millennials & boomers are either hostile or curious. I think some of them think I’m just stupid and they avoid my stand after they see that. Mixed bag as well for me, all in all

Totally agree. I sell at a couple of rural farmers markets. I have yet to get a sale in btc in 5 years. Its mostly due to the older demographics. They still laugh when I mention bitcoin. I hate laughing back at them as my eyes start glowing and my face turns orange
